The Calgary Radio Aero Modellers Society, (CRAMS) is based in Calgary
Alberta Canada. It is one of the several clubs in the city, and has a
reputation as being a good club to join as a beginner. The main reason for
this is that CRAMS has always put the first priority on teaching new
pilots. The Model Aeronautics Association of Canada, (MAAC) "Wings"
program is used, and has proven to be quite successful over the years. A
lot of R/C pilots got their start with CRAMS, and have gone on to be quite
successful in this wonderful world of model aircraft flying.
The CRAMS Airfield is in the SE of the city, right off 17th
Ave. SE. To get to our Airfield take a right on 68th street towards the
city dump. After approx. 1 km, take a left at the "CRAMS" sign and
drive another 500m until you reach the gate. For non-clubmembers, please
be aware that the city dump is closed on Sundays from November 1st until
March 31st, and you will not be able to get to the airfield. Guests are
always welcome when the gate at the flying field is open.
